Table shows that in a mere six years, the value of Indian textile exports has more than doubled in rupee terms. Also, the share of textile exports in the exports of all commodities from India has steadily increased over the last twenty years and stands at just over 30 percent, as can be seen from Table 7. However, India’s share in the world market of exports of textiles and clothing is miniscule - under 3 percent.
